What to bring

Your ID must have!
Kenyan ID, resident permit or passport. Park fees depend on your category, so bring the ID that matches the price you booked.
Packed lunch
Plus snacks for the trail. Lunch is at the lake.
Warm layers & rain jacket
It's cold and changeable at altitude, even on a sunny day.
Comfortable hiking shoes
With good grip. The trail can be wet and uneven.
Your own water
We bring extra water, but carry your own bottle too.
How booking works

Reserve
Choose who's coming and reserve. We hold your seats for 6 hours. While online booking is opening, reserve on WhatsApp and we'll confirm your slot first.

Pay deposit to Till
Ksh 1,000 per person via M-PESA Buy Goods, Till 5936766 (CK TRAVEL & TOURS).

Send M-PESA code
Paste your M-PESA confirmation. We verify it and confirm your seats on WhatsApp.
Reserve first (online or on WhatsApp) so we can match your deposit to your seats.
Deposit & refunds
Ksh 1,000 deposit per person, for every category, paid to M-PESA Till 5936766 (CK TRAVEL & TOURS). It secures your slot.
Full deposit refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the trip, that is by Sat 10 Oct 2026.
After Sat 10 Oct 2026 the deposit is non-refundable.
If we cancel (for example because of unsafe weather), you get a full refund.
Non-Kenyan travellers pay the same Ksh 1,000 M-PESA deposit and pay the balance on the day in cash (USD or KES). No M-PESA? Arrange your deposit with us on WhatsApp.

Questions
Where is the pickup point?
We share the exact pickup point in Nairobi on WhatsApp after you book. We leave at 5:00 AM, so plan to arrive a few minutes early.
What if it rains?
Mountain weather changes fast, so pack a rain jacket and warm layers whatever the forecast. Our guide decides on the day whether conditions are safe. If we cancel the trip because of the weather, you get a full refund.
Is it suitable for beginners?
It's a long day with several hours of hiking at altitude; moderate fitness recommended. If you're unsure, WhatsApp us before booking.
Can children come?
Please WhatsApp us before booking for children. It's a long day (about 16 hours door to door) with several hours of hiking at altitude, and we'll advise you on age and pricing.
How do I pay without M-PESA?
Message us on WhatsApp and we'll arrange your deposit with you. Non-Kenyan travellers pay the Ksh 1,000 deposit and settle the balance on the day in cash (USD or KES).
Can I get my deposit back?
Yes, in full, if you cancel by Sat 10 Oct 2026, or if we cancel the trip. After Sat 10 Oct the deposit is non-refundable. See deposit & refunds.
